A recommendation is put to APEC Finance Ministers during the ministerial meeting in Honolulu, United States, to secure the mandate to further progress the development of the Passport. In the joint statement issued from this meeting, ministers recognised the work that had been undertaken to date to develop the concept of a Passport and called on economies to further explore the establishment of a pilot Passport.
